Usnews Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
U.S. News & World Report is an American media company that publishes news, opinion, consumer advice, rankings, and analysis. Founded as a news magazine in 1933, U.S. News transitioned to primarily web-based publishing in 2010. U.S. News covers politics, education, health, money, careers, travel, technology, and cars.
On January 2020 a former employee wrote for Indeed a review about how it was working for U.S. News: Only people who are friends with the VP advance and get do things others arent allowed to do. Favoritism is the law of land here. If you're a woman you're not heard unless your friends with the VP. If a man says something a woman says it goes over much better. This place is cold and calculated. They push people out they don't like. There is a lot bullying and harrassment from the VP.

Vice President, Dir. Worldwide Advertising Sales (Former Employee) says"Took USN from bankrupt to highly profitable for 20 years. Enter the internet and the rest is history!owner and president were great!really none!"
Audience Development Manager (Former Employee) says"Marketing VP is incredibly cut-throat and unable to manage new social media team. Lacks strong communication/assignment clarity or purposefully does it, favoritism amongst specialists in D.C. office, encourages an unethical office environment, micromanagement heaven.Compensation, some nice employeesUnethical and irrational VP of Marketing and Sales."
Account Manager (Former Employee) says"Most of the employees are a pleasure to work with, however the V.P. of sales had a trickle down effect of negativity. If he reprimanded you and you did not cry, that was taken to show that you did not care about your job. Negative environment without room for growth.Employees were kindManagement is pretty terrible"
Writer-editor (Former Employee) says"I was hired here to work on their autos website, which basically involved aggregating information about cars from other websites that actually tested the cars. Then we would write summaries of the other sites' reviews and assign the car a rating based on those reviews. I did nothing more than any car buyer could do by surfing the web, although I suppose USN&WR felt it was providing a "one-stop shop" by collecting all the data in one place. Still, as an experienced editor and journalist I was very uncomfortable rating cars I had never driven, and I left for a more satisfying job at the first opportunity.friendly staff that seemed enthusiastic about what they were doingaggregation/evaluation model doesn't contribute anything new to the body of information about cars."
Freelance Writer/Photographer (Former Employee) says"I was a freelancer who worked remotely in Boston. As far as freelance work goes, U.S. News & World Report was great - they were supportive and were great partners in my work even from a distance."
